Justin became our Senior Pastor in October 2023. He is passionate about teaching God's Word and leading people to grow deeper in a personal relationship with Jesus. Justin first came to our church in February 2019 as Minister to Students, College and Young Professionals and took over the Children's Ministry in January 2022. He and his wife, Candace, grew up in Randolph County. After they married in 2007, he attended Southeastern Seminary to receive his MDiv in Advanced Biblical Studies. Upon graduating, Justin and his wife moved to Concord, NC, where he served at Minister to Families for 8 years before God called him back to Randolph County to serve at Cross Road. He enjoys spending his downtime on the disc golf course and being involved in his daughters's many activities. He, Candace, and their two daughters, Alaythia and Amelia, are excited to continue their ministry at Cross Road and see what God has for them and the church!

Danielle has served as our Worship Director since October 2023 and held the position as an interim starting in August 2022. She grew up in a loving pastor’s home in Seagrove, NC. Her love of serving the local church and community came about by watching her parents faithfully serve for over 40 years. She loves leading worship on Sundays, at revivals, conferences, and serving in children’s ministry. Danielle attended Liberty University and studied worship and church ministry. She has been married to her husband, Matthew, for almost 22 years. They have three children, Josiah, Joselyn, and Justus. Matthew and Danielle started leading worship at the ages of 20 and 17 for youth events and revivals and it has continued to be their passion.
Cheryl Surratt serves as Ministry Administrative Assistant at Cross Road Baptist Church. She joined the staff in March 2016. Cheryl has grown up in this church since she moved to North Carolina in 1982. Her husband, Randy, joined her as a member in 1992. As Ministry Administrative Assistant, Cheryl is responsible for the day-to-day church office duties. This includes the weekly church bulletin and monthly newsletter, correspondence, and financial records, as well as many other miscellaneous details. Cheryl and Randy have three children; Kayla, Cameron and Evie.
