Music Ministry
To offer worship and praise to God is not an optional activity for believers! Throughout scripture, God's people are invited, encouraged, and even commanded to raise hearts, hands, and voices in thankful and joyful praise to the Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer. At Cross Road, our Music Ministry, under the direction or Minister of Music Bennie Holcombe provides opportunity for people of all ages to get involved, to grow both musicially and spiritually.
Preschool Choir is for children ages 3-5. Rehearsals are built into Preschool Sunday School to make singing in the choir as convenient as possible. The children periodically share their songs quarterly during the 11:00 worship.
Children's Choir provides music instruction and experiences for children grades 1-6. Children sing in the 11:00 service, and present a major Christmas musical each year. During the school year, this choir meets during the Sunday evening worship service in the Choir Room. For information contact the church office.
923 Worship (for Middle School and High School students) passionate, progressive, and powerful songs of praise fill this innovative worship experience. 923 (based on Luke 9:23) meets every third Sunday night in the CLC and gives young people opportunity to express their hearts to God through music.
Adult Choir (for ages High School and up) assists in leading our worship for all of our Sunday worship services, and presents special programs throughout the year. Our rehearsal time is Sunday evenings from 5:00 to 6:15. Childcare is available. For information contact Bennie Holcombe at crossrd@asheboro.com.
Homeschool Handbell Choir provides beautiful handbell music a number of times a year. If you are interested in this choir please contact Corina Canipe at crossrd@asheboro.com or contact the church office. There is a place for everyone in the Music Ministry of Cross Road Baptist Church, so come on and GET INVOLVED!
